Jeísa Chiminazzo (born April 12, 1985) is a Brazilian model.

Personal life

Chiminazzo was born to parents Ernani and Ivone. She grew up in Muçum, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She has two sisters, Grace (6 years older) and Jéssica (5 years younger). She was discovered in 1998 at the age of 13 by a Brazilian actor who recommended her to a modeling agency. On August 23, 2013 she married British businessman Oliver Ripley; the 3 day wedding took place at Villa Erba on Lake Como, Italy and was attended with guests from all over the world, the night ended with an amazing firework display from the lake. The day before the wedding the couple and their guests all wore 1920s dress for a fabulous pre wedding Gatsby themed party complete with 20s bands, Charleston dancers and casino tables at the prestigious CastaDiva resort in Blevio.[1]

Career

A year after first appearing on the covers of local magazines, Chiminazzo signed with IMG Models in New York and appeared in Italian editions of Elle and Marie Claire soon after. During her first few years as an international model, she appeared in several fashion campaigns, for designers such as Emanuel Ungaro and Jill Stuart, for which she was photographed by Ellen von Unwerth. In July 2005, Chiminazzo made a breakthrough with a Paris Vogue cover with Isabeli Fontana, photographed by Mario Testino.

Chiminazzo has appeared on the cover of nine international editions of Vogue, including French, Brazilian, Russian, British, German, Spanish and Japanese.

Chiminazzo is also considered one of the most successful contemporary runway models and has consistently walked for the world's top fashion designers for fashion weeks in New York, Milan, London, Paris and São Paulo. They include Alexander McQueen, John Galliano, Valentino, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Chanel, DKNY, Prada, Diane von Furstenberg, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu, Lagerfeld Gallery, D&G, Fendi, Christian Dior and Dolce & Gabbana.
