Johann Georg Benda
Jan Jiří Benda, also Johann Georg Benda (baptized 16 April or August 30, 1713 in Benátky nad Jizerou – 1752 in Potsdam), was a Bohemian violinist and composer active in Germany. He was the brother of Franz Benda, Georg Anton Benda and Joseph Benda.[1]
Johann Georg Benda, along with his brother Franz, worked as a violinist in the Chapel Royal at Dresden, and from 1740 as chamber musician at the court of Frederick the Great.
