John 13 is the thirteenth chapter of the Gospel of John in the New Testament of the Christian Bible. It records the events on the last night before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, especially when Jesus washed the feet of His disciples.[1] The book containing this chapter is anonymous but early Christian tradition uniformly affirmed that John composed this Gospel.[2]

Verse 1

New King James Version

Now before the Feast of the Passover, when Jesus knew that His hour had come that He should depart from this world to the Father, having loved His own who were in the world, He loved them to the end.[3]

Verse 26

King James Version

Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.[4]
