Josef Preiß
Josef Preiß[Note 1] (born 24 June 1922) was a German Oberjäger in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (German: Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes). The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. He got his for 200 confirmed sniper kills while in Jager Rgt 227 of 100th Jager Div in 1945. He was born in Michaelsthal.
