In 2010 DISD investigated Tom W. Field Elementary and discovered that the administration forced teachers to not teach certain subjects, and made false grades to make it appear that the students took the classes.[8]

In 2016 the Bonham elementary campus will be repurposed as an all-girls elementary and middle school devoted to STEAM.[9]
