Just Dance 2 is a music game developed and published by Ubisoft Paris and Ubisoft Milan for the Wii. It is the sequel to Just Dance. It was released in North America on October 12, 2010 and in Australia and Europe on October 14, 2010. The Best Buy Edition was released in North America on November 21, 2010. There are 44 new tracks and new modes.[1] A sequel, Just Dance 3, was released in October 2011.
Gameplay
The concept of the game is the same as the original Just Dance. Requiring only one Wii Remote per player, up to four people can play at a time, as they follow on-screen choreographed moves set to classic dance tracks. There are four new dance modes. In "Just Dance Mode", players can get together and dance for as long as they want, just for the fun of it. Other options include "Non-Stop Shuffle" for nonstop gameplay, and "Medleys", sequences made of parts from five songs. The second new mode, "Duets", lets players dance together, and in the process forces them to pay more attention to the players around them instead of simply following on-screen prompts. "Dance Battle Mode" is a team mode that features up to 8-player support. The individual scores are the basis of the overall team scores. Lastly is "Just Sweat Mode", which is an exercise mode that allows players to measure the energy they expend while dancing as well as set objectives to be met during their dance sessions. The "Shake" move from the original game is not continued for this version and onward, being replaced with Gold Moves (which gives extra points if gotten right). Also, unlike the "Shake" feature, Gold Moves are present in every song.
