KBET (790 kHz) is an AM radio station licensed to Winchester, Nevada and broadcasting to the greater Las Vegas Valley. KBET is owned by Royce International and it airs a talk radio format. KBET uses the slogan "790 Talk Now: Talk That Rocks!" Its studios are in the unincorporated Clark County community of Enterprise and the transmitter is in Henderson, Nevada. The station broadcasts at 1000 watts by day, reducing power to 300 watts at night to avoid interfering with other stations on 790 kHz. KBET is also heard on the HD2 channel of co-owned FM 104.3 KFRH.

Programming

KBET airs mostly nationally syndicated talk shows. Weekdays start at 6 a.m. with Glenn Beck. At 9 a.m. Kevin Wall hosts a local three-hour talk show. At noon, it's Michael Savage followed at 3 p.m. by Mark Levin. At 7 p.m., Dana Loesch is heard with Red Eye Radio at midnight and Alex Jones at 3 a.m. Weekends include repeats of weekday shows as well as Laura Ingraham. National news from Fox News Radio is heard at the beginning of every hour with newscasts from TheBlaze Network airing at half-past the hour.

History

The station went on the air in 2006. On May 29, 2009 the Las Vegas Sun reported that the station had been sold to Silver State Communications LLC, and that the format would be changed to Sports radio. KBET later aired a Classic Country music format and was using the slogan: "Country Legends 790." KBET began broadcasting a talk format on April 19, 2012.[1]
