Kachhla is a town and a nagar panchayat in Badaun district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
Demographics
As of 2011 India census,[1] Kachhla had a population of about 20000. Males constitute 56% of the population and females 44%. Kachhla has an average literacy rate of 30%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 40%, and female literacy is 18%. In Kachhla, 21% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Transport
This little town has a 100-year-old bridge(common for both train & bus) and it is very popular because of its Ganges banks and now two different bridges are also built for traffic and trains. But one of them for railways is under construction. it may get started up to the end of 2012. The old bridge is now used only for trains.SH-33(Agra-Bareilly link state highway) passes through the town. And the railway station of kachhla is situated on the Bareilly jn.-Kasganj jn. Meter gauge Link.it is distant about 30 km from the district headquarters budaun. [2]
Tourism
On the other hand our is town situated on bank of the holy river Ganga. So the Ganga ghat is always full of rush on each purnima. Lots of people comes from different states of those maximum number of people belongs to Rajasthan. There is an Inter college situated here named Radhey Lal Inter College.One of the most prestigious inter colleges of the state situated on the bank of Ganga was founded in year 1951 . In year 2003 Shatrunjay Kumar Verma got 1st position in UP Board High school exams securing 89.00%. The college provides education to around 1500 children. There is also a post graduate institution named G.B. Pant Degree college near the inter college. In kachhla there are a varieties of castes including rajpoots,yadavs etc. and some others . Kachhla bridge is also famous for its tasty chole. In this town there are 3 nationalized commercial banks i.e. 1.SBI 2.PNB 3.KGB and also a Government hospital and a number of primary school.
