Kadipur (Hindi: कादीपुर, Urdu: کادی پور) is a town and a nagar panchayat (tehsil) in Sultanpur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

Kadipur tehsil has 4 blocks: Akhand Nagar, Dostpur, Kadipur and Karaundi Kala.

Geography

Kadipur is located at 26°10′N 82°23′E / 26.17°N 82.38°E / 26.17; 82.38.[1] It has an average elevation of 90 metres (295 feet).

It is situated on the bank of Gomti River.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[2] Kadipur had a population of 6795. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Kadipur has an average literacy rate of 62%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 69%, and female literacy is 55%. In Kadipur, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Two canals, "Sharda Sahayak Nehar", provide irrigation in the tehsil. The major villages are Katsari,Higun Gaura, Trilokpur Nevada, Jagdishpur, Mujahana, Raibigo, Luxmanpur, Kotiya, Taukalpur banauta, Saray rani Tawakkalpur nagra, Vijethua Rajapur, Moradabad, Baramadpur, Karai, Bhelara, Kalwaribandh, Harpur, Sajampur, Hakimpur, Kumhi, Jatauly, Bankegon, Jhagaria, Mudila, Lauhara Chandnaiya Kakana Amrethu dadia Bilwai,Surapur,domapur(Garoura), andaraypur,jagdeeshpur,Aldemau Noorpur,BARWARIPUR are the major village.

Barwaripur is a smart village of Sultanpur District located on the bank of River Gomti at Kadipur -Dhopap Marg and about 2.0 KM.from Kadipur(Zero point).The source of income of this village is mainly from service as percentage of employment is almost 50. A few peoples of this village are Millionaire and most of the peoples are having very good wealth and maintaining state capiatl/Lucknow life style particularly in Kshatriya families.Girls of this village are at liberty to educate them self parallel to the Boys and fortunately Schools and Colleges up to PG courses are available in the village.

Higun Gaura is a developed village of this town. This is in two part Higun Gaura I and II. Akhilesh Singh (Bablu Singh) is a Gram Pradhan now this time and in II Higun Gaura there are 14 Houses Family live here, And Azeem Ansari is a Honorable person for this village. The Masjid-A-Umar is decoration Masjid of this Village. It is located at a distance of 2.8 km from kadipur town. The source of income of this village is mainly from service and business, employment is almost 20 percent and 80 percent is depend on business and Agriculture.
