Kalluvathukkal is a village in Kollam district in the state of Kerala.This is a part of one of the most neglected districts in India, Kollam.NH-47passes through the heart of the village.This is a progressive village.We can't say it a village,its really a town.This place is in a very speedy development stage and grooming as a Tourist place as this location is having absolute enjoyable nature's beauty.And this is one among the biggest panchayats in the Kollam District as well as state in terms of geographical area. India's first ESIC Medical college has been started functioning in Parippally, which is a village in Kalluvathukkal panchayath. Kalluvathukkal is about 20 km from Kollam City. It is in the extreme south part of Kollam district of Kerala, around 49 km north of the state capital Thiruvananthapuram. Kollam Railway Station is only 22 km from the village and also well connected by buses. Nearest Airport is Trivandrum International Airport. It is around 44 km north of the state capitalThiruvananthapuram on the National Highway 47 (NH 47). Major municipal towns like Paravur and Varkala are very near to Kalluvathukkal. Paravur railway station is the nearest railway station to Kalluvathukkal, which is 13 km away. 10 pairs of express trains have halts in Paravur railway station. NH 47 is passing through the center of the village.^[1] As of 2001 census of India, Kalluvathukkal had a population of 42238 with 20387 males and 21851 females.
