- ^A In 1980, Kansas won the game on the field, but the Big Eight Conference subsequently ordered KU to forfeit the game due to the use of a player found to be ineligible. Kansas record books still count this as a KU victory due to a 1999 NCAA subcommittee where the committee stated that "forfeited contests do not count as a loss and that the game will stand as played on the field.",[2] while KSU record books count it as a KSU victory by a score of 1–0.
