Kepler-61b is a planet discovered in 2013 which orbits a star Kepler-61. It was found using the transit method, in which the dimming effect that a planet causes as it crosses in front of its star is measured.[2]
Characteristics
Kepler-61b has a radius of slightly more than two times that of Earth. It is located in the inner part of empirical habitable zone, a zone where liquid water could exist with high albedo, relatively low humidity and higher atmospheric pressure.[3]
