Kian Lawley is an American YouTube personality and actor. [1]

Career

Lawley first began his career posting videos on YouTube. He posted videos on the channels kianlawley and superkian13, he currently continues uploading videos.[2] Lawley was also a member of the now defunct YouTube group Our2ndLife, which included Connor Franta, Ricky Dillon, Jc Caylen, Trevor Moran, and Sam Pottorff.[3]

In the summer of 2015, Lawley starred as Cameron in his first film titled The Chosen. The film premiered at the 2015 VidCon convention.[4][5][6]

At the 2015 Teen Choice Awards, Lawley won the award for Choice YouTuber.[7]

In October 2015, AwesomenessTV announced that Lawley, alongside Zoey Deutch, Halston Sage, and Logan Miller will be starring in their upcoming film titled Before I Fall.[8][9]

On June 1, 2015, AwesomenessTV announced that Lawley and Bella Thorne were to star in an upcoming movie titled Shovel Buddies.[10][11][12] In March 2016, the film was selected and premiered at SXSW Festival.[13][14]

Lawley was cast to play "Bean Boy" in Tyler Perry's latest film, Boo! A Madea Halloween in early 2016. He will be acting alongside his Youtube channel partner Jc Caylen and Bella Thorne.[15]

Lawley currently uploads videos to a channel called KianAndJc, which is a collaboration channel with former Our2ndLife member Jc Caylen.[16] When asked about the transition from creating content online to acting on the big screen, he said, "You already have so much momentum, and you already have the experience. You're already comfortable being in front of the camera." [17]

In March 2016, Kian and Jc announced through their channel that they had written a book, Don't Try This At Home! The book will consist of short personal stories, exclusive pictures from their tour, and hand drawn notes. The book will be available on June 28.[18]

In April 29th, Kian and Jc also announced their first international tour, the "Don't Try This at Home" tour.
