Like the first version, according to Allmusic reviewer, Bradley Torreano, Kidz Bop 2 "alternates between pleasantly appropriate material and songs that are jarringly changed around in an attempt to make them more child-friendly." The Kidz Bop Kids version Jennifer Lopez' I'm Real is "awful" and "shouldn't have been included at all, even if they changed the dirty words", according to the review. He concludes by saying that "a lot of the songs here are perfectly fine, but the songs that aren't may cause parents to give second thoughts to buying Kidz Bop, Vol. 2."[2]
