Heather Phares of Allmusic says the album starts off with strong renditions of two of 2003's biggest hits, "Crazy in Love" and "Hey Ya!", but "mopier songs", such as "Here Without You" and "Someday", "just don't sound right with kids' voices". She concludes by saying that "most parents and kids would be better served by the latest Now That's What I Call Music collection, which provides the big hits with all the bad words removed from them".[1]
