Kieran Lovell (born 16 May 1997) is an Australian rules footballer who plays for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).[1]

Early career

Playing for the Kingborough Tigers in the TSL. With a strong 2015 season and winning the Tasmanian MVP and All-Australian Under-18 honours after impressive performances in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships.[2] With strong skills when it comes to the in and under ball he has been compared to Hawthorn's Sam Mitchell.

AFL career

After only being in the AFL system for six months, Lovell's form has been impressive, he picked up seven disposals in just over a half of footy against Richmond in the NAB Challenge, before being one of Box Hill’s standouts in the first three rounds of the VFL season. 25 disposals and a goal against Sandringham in Round 1 was followed by 5 goals against reigning premiers Williamstown in Round 2. Another 20 disposals against Coburg at the weekend made it too hard to leave Lovell out of the senior side. [3]

Only 18 when he made his senior debut for the Hawks against GWS Giants at Spotless Stadium in round 6, he had 6 kicks and 5 handballs when his team lost by 75 points.
