Konstantin Vassiljev (born 16 August 1984) is an Estonian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Polish Ekstraklasa club Jagiellonia Białystok and the Estonia national football team.

Club career

Early career

Vassiljev made his first-team debut for TJK at the age of 16 in 2001. In the same season he had short spell with Emmaste. A year later he joined Levadia.

Levadia

He started the 2007 season as Levadia's captain, but was relegated to Levadia's reserve team, after refusing to sign a contract extension with the club.[1][2] At the age of 23, after five seasons at Levadia Tallinn, Vassiljev moved abroad.

Nafta Lendava

In February 2008, he signed a 1-year contract with Slovenian PrvaLiga club Nafta Lendava. He played his first PrvaLiga match on 2 March 2008, in a 2–0 defeat against Celje.[3][4] He scored his first PrvaLiga goal on 16 March 2008, in the 17th minute in a 1–2 defeat against Drava Ptuj.[5]

Luka Koper

In February 2011, he signed 2 and a half-year contract with Slovenian PrvaLiga club Koper.[6] He scored his first goal for Koper on 3 April 2011, in a 3–0 win against Maribor.

Amkar Perm

In August 2011, he signed 3-year contract with Russian Premier League club Amkar Perm.[7]

Piast Gliwice

On 26 August 2014, he joined Ekstraklasa club Piast Gliwice on a one-year contract.[8]

Jagiellonia Białystok

In June 2015 Vassiljev joined Ekstraklasa club Jagiellonia Białystok on a two-year contract.[9]

International career

For Estonia national football team, Vassiljev is capped 85 times, scoring 21 goals. He made his national team debut on 31 May 2006 against New Zealand in a friendly match.[10] He scored his first international goal against Armenia on 28 March 2009.
