Kora Jahanabad (Hindi: जहानाबाद, is a town in Fatehpur district in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is 30–35 km from Kanpur. Kora Jahanabad has many temples. Local people also call it "Jahanabad".

Economy

It has many banks, such as State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank of India, Cooperative Bank, and Baroda East U.P. Gramin Bank, ATMs, Many two wheeler showrooms and service centres are located in the town. Post office is also situated in the town with its services. Buses go to Kanpur in every 45 minutes. It has power house and water tanks and also petrol pump near 'Patel Nagar'.

Education

Jahanabad is a hub of schools and colleges. About 98% of schools are affiliated to UP Board(State Board of UP), Allahabad. Graduate & post-graduate colleges are affiliated to Kanpur University. Vivekanand Vikas Sansthan enter college, Shishu Gyan Vanasthali Higher Secondary School, Vikas Vidhya Mandir, Adarsh Inter College, Gandhi Smarak Inter College and Shahid Malta Inter College are famous colleges. Good English medium schools are also located in town. Dilip kumar Smarak Degree college is mostly known for graduation courses like Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science,B.ed,BTC

Kora Jahanabad is the largest consistency in Fatehpur district. As of 2011 India census,[1] Kora Jahanabad had a population of 45410. Males constituted 53% of the population and females 47%. Kora Jahanabad has an average literacy rate of 58%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 65%, and female literacy is 51%. In Kora Jahanabad, 16% of the population is under 10 years of age.
