Krasnogorsky District (Russian: Красного́рский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[2] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the southeast of the krai. The area of the district is 3,070 square kilometers (1,190 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Krasnogorskoye.[1] Population: 16,228(2010 Census);[3] 19,036(2002 Census);[6] 20,255(1989 Census).[7] The population of Kranogorskoye accounts for 36.9% of the district's total population.[3]
