Crimeface is an online interactive film created in Manchester between 2004 and 2007 by Krishna Stott.[1] The film "pushes the notion of interactivity and play into a different game space."[2] This new media project mixes popular formats: film, literature, music and gaming resulting in an episodic hyper-narrative that is interactive and multiplatform and has played in cinemas, on DVD, mobile phones and on the internet.
Awards
Winner of both the Webby and People's Voice awards in the Experimental category of online film and video at the 2008 Webby Awards[3] this new mix of film and interactivity was described on launch as being "a glimpse of the future for on-screen fiction" by Pocket-Lint.[4]
