Kulvir Singh (born 15 September 1990), better known by his stage name of KD[1] is an Indian rapper, music producer, and singer. He started as a session and recording artist, and became a Bhangra music producer. He has also begun to produce music for Haryanvi films, and gone on to become one of the highest-paid music producers in the Haryanvi music industry.[2]

Early life

Kulvir Singh was born on 15 September 1990 at Danoda Village in Haryana to a Jat family. His birth name is his real name. He studied music with Satish Sehgal at Rohtak City in Haryana.

Career

KD[3] prefers to sing in his native language, Haryanvi, as well as Hindi, rather than English. KD'S Haryanvi-language album Desi Villager was released on 21 August 2011. The track "Paiya Pittal" from the album, featuring singer Mannu Diwana, topped in Northen India.

KD has performed at many college festivals including the Ansal Institute of Technology, and the Ramjas College, located in Delhi. He learned music from Kokila Studio, located in Rohtak.
