History

The station opened on June 1, 1919, as Jōkyū (常久) Station and adopted its present name in 1954.[1][2]

Station numbering was introduced on all Seibu Railway lines during fiscal 2012, with Kyōteijō-mae Station becoming "SW05".[3]

Passenger statistics

In fiscal 2013, the station was the 84th busiest on the Seibu network with an average of 2,643 passengers daily.[4]
