History

The station opened on October 22, 1917, as Kita-Tama (北多磨) Station and adopted its present name in 2001.[1][2]

Station numbering was introduced on all Seibu Railway lines during fiscal 2012, with Shiraitodai Station becoming "SW04".[3]

Passenger statistics

In fiscal 2013, the station was the 77th busiest on the Seibu network with an average of 5,519 passengers daily.[4]
