Lajas is a municipality and town in the Cienfuegos Province of Cuba. It is located in the northern part of the province, 35 kilometres (22 mi) west of Santa Clara and immediately south of the A1 motorway.
Demographics
In 2004, the municipality of Lajas had a population of 22,602.[2] With a total area of 430 km2 (170 sq mi),[1] it has a population density of 52.6/km2 (136/sq mi).
