Lane Clark & Peacock (or LCP) is a firm of financial, actuarial and business consultants, specialising in the areas of pensions, investment, insurance and business analytics.[1] The LCP group has over 500 staff and 92 partners and principals across offices in London and Winchester in the UK and Belgium, Ireland, the Netherlands and Switzerland in Europe.[2]

LCP was founded by Ralph Lane in 1947 and became a partnership in 1962. In 1992, it established an office in Winchester, and ten years later it became part of the Alexander Forbes Group, one of the largest employee benefit consultancies in the world.[3] After becoming the first actuarial firm to establish separate trustee and corporate consulting practices, it opened offices in Belgium and Switzerland in 2004, followed by an expansion to Ireland and the Netherlands in 2008.[4] The company is a founding member of the Multinational Group of Actuaries and Consultants (MGAC),[5] and is regulated by the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Lane Clark & Peacock currently advises pension plan trustees and corporate sponsors on complex UK and international pensions issues; provides actuarial and consulting advice to insurance clients including Lloyd’s managing agents, insurance companies, captives, medical indemnity societies, local authorities, government bodies, brokers and auditors; and provides investment advice to trustees and sponsors of pension plans.[6]
