Lanham, Kansas and Nebraska
Lanham is an unincorporated community in both Washington County, Kansas and Gage County, Nebraska in the United States.[1] It is located along State Line Road just west of K-148/Nebraska Highway 112. Its main street forms the state line.[2] Its elevation is 1,398 feet (426 m), and it is located at about 40°0′0″N 96°52′30″W / 40.00000°N 96.87500°W / 40.00000; -96.87500 (40.000000, -96.8751661).[1]
History
Lanham was named for a railroad official.[3] A post office was opened in Lanham (on the Kansas side[3]) in 1914, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1923.[4]
