Plot

After escaping from prison Gustave discovers his fiancée is being blackmailed by other criminals. Gustave then plans one last caper to steal enough money in hopes of retiring, but he has to deal with the betrayal of Paul Ricci by his own brother, Jo (played by Marcel Bozzuffi), as well as with the brutal and corrupt police inspector Fardiano. Gustave encounters many hold-ups in his time after the escape from prison. He reunites with his girlfriend. He is targeted by a large organization of criminals who sabotage his attempts at gaining the money needed to escape his low life of hiding in bad conditions.

Finally, Gustave gets the edge on all the criminals targeting in their meeting. Gustave goes akimbo and guns down all the gangsters in the room though fatally shot and bleeding. The police inspector raids the place. Gustave guards the stairs with the dual handguns he used to kill all the gangsters. The police shoots Gustave dead after he lets out a chain of shots. He hands the inspector an important notebook from the gangsters which the inspector drops innocently for reporters of the newspaper to publish. Gustave's widow mourns his death, which was so she could be free from the harassment of the gangsters
