Lee Jooheon (Hangul: 이주헌), better known by his stage name Jooheon (Hangul: 주헌) was born on October 6, 1994[1] in Daegu, South Korea. He is a South Korean rapper under Starship Entertainment [2] and is currently an active member of boy group Monsta X, formed during the 2014 Mnet survival show No.Mercy (노머시).

Career

Nu Boyz

In August 2014, it was rumoured[3] that Starship Entertainment was debuting a new hip hop group with the name Nu Boyz. The group was made up of current Monsta X members Jooheon, Wonho and Shownu, as well as Starship trainee, #Gun.[4] This rumour was later confirmed when the quartet uploaded multiple mixtapes to their company's Youtube channel in October 2014[5] and performed the opening show at a Starship X concert in December 2014.[6] All members of the group were later added to the survival show No.Mercy and the group is assumed to have been disbanded.

Variety show

Jooheon auditioned[7] for the fourth season[8] of Mnet's rap competition series, Show Me the Money in summer 2015. He made it to the 3rd round where he was eliminated[9] in a 1-on-1 battle. He was later brought back for a second chance where he lost to ex-1PUNCH member, One,[10] and was eliminated a second time.
