Leeds City Council election, 2014

Leeds City Council elections took place on 22 May 2014, the same day as the European elections. One third of the council was up for election to replace the councillors elected in 2010.[1] Prior to the election Calverley & Farsley councillor, Joseph Marjoram, had defected from the Conservatives to Independent.Labour had overall control of the council since the 2011 election and their majority was unchanged following this election. [2][3]
