The legislative system of China may either refer to the system of laws and regulations generated in China's legal system or more narrowly the system of formulation of such codes by institutions, such as the main legislative body the National People's Congress (unicameral parliament). Chinese laws are subject to the authority of the Constitution.
There are two main legislative-making organs, the National People's Congress and its Standing Committee.
