Leicester City Women Football Club is the official English women's football club affiliated with Leicester City F.C.. The club is distinct from Leicester City Ladies Football Club who are a stand-alone grassroots club whereas Leicester City W.F.C are supported by the LCFC Mens team.

Leicester City Women also run a Reserves and Development sides with plans to launch the Leicester City Women Development Centre for the 2016/17 season.

History

Leicester City WFC applied to join the FA Women's Super League in December 2009.[1]

But in March 2010 they were announced as a losing bidder for the inaugural 2011 season.[2][3]

The playing colours of Leicester City Women FC are identical to those of parent club Leicester City F.C.
