Brett McLaughlin (born 1987), known professionally as Leland, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, composer and lecturer.[1] Based in Los Angeles, California, he has worked closely with a range of popular artists, including Troye Sivan, Hayley Warner, Little Boots, Becky G, Daya, Kat Graham, Jessica Mauboy, Stan Walker and Pitbull.[2] Leland's most recent single as solo artist, "Full-Time", was released on April 13, 2015.

Influences and other ventures

McLaughlin is a lecturer at the Musicians Institute, where he teaches songwriting and artist development.[3] In 2015 he joined the founding team of Global Image Music, a new music program offering real–time experience for aspiring songwriters and producers founded by British–American songwriter James 'JHart' Abrahart.[4]
