Golf course
Originally conceived by Baron Marcel Bich of Bic pens and razors fame, the Les Bordes golf course is built on what was previously his 1,700-acre (690 ha) hunting estate. The Les Bordes golf course was the first course designed and built in France by Robert von Hagge and Rick Baril.
The Les Bordes golf course and surrounding hunting estate land was purchased in 2008 by an international consortium led by Tony Jimenez and is now being developed into a resort with a hotel, private properties and activity amenities.
A second 18-hole golf course is to be built at Les Bordes, the last golf course ever designed by Robert von Hagge.
