Shine a Light is the first concert tour by artist G-Dragon, to support his first album Heartbreaker

Reception

The concert subsequently sparked controversy following complaints of obscenity[1] and suggestive content.[2] The Korean Ministry of Health, Welfare and Family Affairs later asked the government prosecutors to investigate if G-Dragon or YG Entertainment violated laws on obscene performances in his concert.[3][4] He was found innocent and was cleared of all charges on March 15, 2010.[5]

One of a Kind Tour is the first world tour by artist G-Dragon, the tour visited 9 countries and 13 cities in 2013.

Background

On January 14, 2013, YG Entertainment announced that G-Dragon will held his first world tour,[8] and his first tour since 2009. The production of the tour cost $3.5 Million, making it the largest scale in Korean history.[9] The tour was created by one of the best staff in the world including, director Travis Payne who worked with Michael Jackson′s world tour This Is It, choreographer and creative developer, Stage design by Michael Cotten, who has decorated the stages of the Super Bowl, the Olympics and Michael Jackson′s world tour.[10]

Reception

The Tour received prices, Running Into The Sun, praised the diversity of the show and that G-Dragon "can create his own 'bang' on the stage.".[11] ENewsWorld said that G-Dragon indeed he's one of a kind, and "he burst forth in his own style and personality all throughout the concert.".[12] Billboard compared G-Dragon with Michael Jackson, saying that he is an eye-popping like the King of Pop, "The vibrant, two-hour, Michael Jackson-level affair had begun".[13] In Japan, G-Dragon become the first Korean solo singer to hold concerts at four of Japan’s Domes.[14]
