Met with Queen Elizabeth II, Prime Minister David Cameron, Leader of the Opposition Ed Miliband and Defense Secretary Michael Fallon.[2]
China China Beijing, Boao26–29 March 2015 Asia Annual Conference and State visit President Maithripala Sirisena visited China on the invitation of President of China Xi Jinping. President Sirisena also participated to Asia Annual Conference 2015 in Boao.[3]
Pakistan Pakistan Islamabad, Taxila Museum5–7 April 2015State visit At the invitation of President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of Pakistan, President Maithripala Sirisena paid a State visit to Pakistan. This is the Fourth foreign visit of President Sirisena. President visited the Taxila Museum that is contained many statues of Lord Buddha.[4]
Maldives Maldives Malé26–27 July 2015State visit At the invitation of President Abdulla Yameen President Sirisena was invited as chief guest of the 50th National Independence Day ceremony of Maldives.[5][6]
United States United States New York 10–23 September 2015 United Nations General Assembly & bilateral meetings To attend the 70th United Nations General Assembly session, where he delivered a special address. Sirisena will also have bilateral meetings with several leaders including Prime Minister of Malta Dr. Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister of New Zealand John Key and Prime Minister of Australia Malcolm Turnbull [7][8]
