  3. Originally Lacaille lettered this star with neighboring V539 Ara as ν. Bečvář's atlas, Boss' catalogue, and Tirion's 1st edition of Sky Atlas 2000.0 erroneously lettered it as υ2. Subsequently Tirion removed it in Uranometria 2000.0 and the 2nd edition of Sky Atlas 2000.0.
  4. Lacaille originally lettered it as ρ and Bode designated it as "1.ρ".
