List of state boarding schools in England and Wales
There are 38 state boarding schools in England and one in Wales, providing state-funded education but charging for boarding.[1][2] In addition, the Five Islands School in St Mary's, Isles of Scilly, provides free boarding during the week to secondary students from other islands. The Durand Academy in Stockwell, a district in south London, also provides free weekly boarding at a site near Midhurst, West Sussex.[3][4]
The gender shown is that of the boarding provision; some of these schools have mixed day provision.
