The defendants, Mario Tuti, Luciano Franci, Piero Malentacchi, and Margherita Luddi were all found not guilty of planting the bomb on the Italicus Rome-West Germany vacation express due to a lack of evidence. They were acquitted in 1983. After the acquittals, no group officially took responsibility for the attack. |
