Long Branch is a census-designated place in Fairfax County, Virginia, bordering southeastern Fairfax City. The population as of the 2010 Census was 7,593.[1] The CDP lies mainly in the watershed of Long Branch, an Accotink Creek tributary. W.T. Woodson High School is located here. A larger version of the CDP was delineated in 1970 when the CDP had a population of 21,634[2] and an land area of 6.8 square miles.[3]
