Long Island Nets
The Long Island Nets are an American professional basketball team of the NBA Development League and an affiliate of the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s Brooklyn Nets. Based in Nassau County, the Long Island Nets will play their home games during the 2016–17 season at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York and then at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York once renovations are complete for the 2017–18 season. The Nets became the twelfth D-League team to be owned by an NBA team.[2] On March 24, 2016, the Brooklyn Nets hired Ronald Nored as Head Coach and Alton Byrd as the Vice President of Business Operations.[3]
