Lorentz Mortensen Angell

Lorentz Mortensen Angell (9 March 1626 30 July 1697) was a merchant and landowner in Norway.

He was born in Angeln in Southern Schleswig. He was first married to Margrethe Hansdatter Puls, then to Abel Jespersdatter, and last to Margrethe Pedersdatter. He was the father of Hans Angell and Albert Angell, and grandfather of Thomas Angell. He settled in Trondheim around 1650, and eventually achieved a significant fortune, with included large land properties, part ownership of Røros Copper Works and several ships.[1][2]
