Louis Oscar Griffith
Louis Oscar Griffith (1875–1956) was an American painter known for his landscapes. He was an associate and friend of artist Frank Reaugh. In 1880, when he was five years of age, Griffith moved with his family from Indiana to Texas. In 1893, he began studying art in St. Louis. In 1895, he enrolled at the Chicago Art Institute. He was a major prize winner in the Davis competition.
