"Love Like a Fountain" is the first single from Ian Brown's second solo album, Golden Greats. Released on 25 October 1999, it placed No. 23 on the UK Singles Chart. The single version of the song was included in Brown's compilation album, The Greatest. The single cover was a self-portrait designed by Brown.
Brown has regularly commented that this is his favorite song from his solo catalogue, although he regretted it being released as a single.
During live performances, Brown regularly adds a stream of "-ation" based words, a lyrical style used in Stevie Wonder's "Pastime Paradise". That song in turn influenced Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise", which Brown used as the basis for another single, "F.E.A.R."
