Madaripur Sadar (Bengali: মাদারিপুর সদর) is an Upazila of Madaripur District in the Division of Dhaka, Bangladesh.[1]
Geography
Madaripur Sadar is located at 23°10′00″N 90°12′30″E / 23.1667°N 90.2083°E . It has 54655 households and total area 313.81 km².
Demographics
As of the 1991 Bangladesh census, Madaripur Sadar has a population of 307822. Males constitute 51.19% of the population, and females 48.81%. This Upazila's eighteen up population is 146202. Madaripur Sadar has an average literacy rate of 38.2% (7+ years), and the national average of 32.4% literate.[2]

Currently there have no full fledged public and/or private universities except few colleges affiliated with national university.
Administrative
Madaripur Sadar has 18 Unions/Wards, 204 Mauzas/Mahallas, and 185 villages. Panchkhola is one of them.
