Magdalena Municipality, Veracruz

Magdalena is a Municipality in Veracruz, Mexico. It is located in central zone of the State of Veracruz, about 125 km from state capital Xalapa. It has a surface of 28.79 km2. It is located at 18°45′N 97°03′W / 18.750°N 97.050°W / 18.750; -97.050.

The municipality of Magdalena is delimited to the north by San Andrés Tenejapan and Ixtaczoquitlán to the east and south by Tequila and to the west by San Andrés Tenejapan.[1]

It produces principally maize and coffee.

In Magdalena , in July takes place the celebration in honor to Santa María Magdalena, Patron of the town.

The weather in Magdalena is cold all year with rains in summer and autumn.
