Maggie Murdock (née Maggie Grace) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She is the ex-wife of Jack Murdock and the mother of Matt Murdock who grew up to become the superhero known as Daredevil.[1] Maggie Murdock was created by writer-editor Frank Miller and artist David Mazzucchelli. The character first appeared in Daredevil #229 (April 1986).[2]

Fictional character biography
Sister Maggie (Maggie Murdock, née Maggie Grace) is the mother of Matthew Murdock aka Daredevil.[4] She left him and her husband Jack Murdock, when Matt was still a baby to join Catholicism and become a nun.[5][6][7] Matt found his mother in the Born Again story arc (in Daredevil #229[8]). They reunited on different occasions. In the storyline Guardian Devil, Daredevil, plunging off a roof after being drugged by Mysterio, saved himself and ended up in front of the Church were Sister Maggie was.[9][10][11][12][13] She took care of him while he was resting. Later they hugged.[14][15][16][17][18][19][20]
Powers and abilities
Sister Maggie has extensive training in Catholicism, along with some skills in medical first aid.

Daredevil (2003)
Maggie Murdock can be seen in the Director's cut of Daredevil 2003, portrayed by Vivian Palermo Winther and credited as the Nun. Sister Maggie can be seen briefly in a flashback with Matt' after he gets struck by the chemicals that gave him his powers. The scene is where a nun (Maggie) is visiting the hospital and bending over him telling him to sleep. He touches the cross around her neck.
Television
Daredevil (2015)
Maggie Murdock hasn't been seen on the Netflix Daredevil series, but she has been referenced to when her ex-husband Jack Murdock calls her to tell her that there's a good chance he'll be killed by the "Fixer" after his next fight; and that he needs her to take care of Matt and his future if that happens.
