Magyar Posta Zrt. (Hungarian for "Hungarian Post JSC") is the postal administration of Hungary. Besides normal mail delivery, Magyar Posta also offers logistics, banking, and marketing services.

History

Hungarian Post became independent in 1983 under the name Magyar Posta. On January 1 1990, the unified Magyar Posta was divided into three organizations, and broke off the privilege of broadcasting and telephone service. The formation of the Hungarian Telecommunications Company, the Hungarian Broadcasting Company and the Hungarian Post, which operates a separate and independent corporations. The Hungarian Post Company was placed under the Minister of Transport.
