The Directorate of Medical Education and Research, where Dr.T.P Lahane holds Additional Director charge served a show cause notice on Thursday, a copy of which was received by striking doctors on Friday. “We are not employees, so MESMA can’t be invoked against us. They can’t remove 4,000 doctors,” Dr Sagar Mundada, president, MARD, said.[6]
