Manav Rachna University is a private university in Faridabad, Haryana, India. It was previously known as the Manav Rachna College of Engineering (MRCE).
Campus
MRU campus is in Sector 43, Faridabad located 05 km from Delhi on Delhi-Surajkund Highway. It is surrounded by Aravalli Hills, close to the national capital.

Admissions
B.Tech
Admission on the basis of marks scored in JEE Mains and class XII normalized board score (weightage 60 :40) (1st preference)and qualifying examination (2nd preference).
M.Tech
Admissions to the M.Tech course is given to candidates who qualify in GATE with Bachelor’s degree in respective branch of engineering or technology from any Indian university included in the approved list of AIU (Association of Indian universities) securing at least 60% marks in aggregate.[2]
MCA
Students seeking admission to the three year MCA course appear for an entrance exam OLET-MCA-2010 conducted by Haryana State Counseling Society. The qualified students of this exam exercise their choices at the online state centralised counselling organised by SCBH. Students are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with 50% marks with mathematics as compulsory subject at 10+2 level or Graduation level or B.Com/BCA or any other equivalent examination recognised by the university.Alumni of college Jagmohan Singh registered 293 patents till date.[2]
MBA
Students seeking admission to the three year MBA course are required to have minimum 50% marks in Bachelor’s or postgraduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an examination recognized as equivalent thereto and have to appear for admission test 'MAT' conducted by AIMA.[2]
Training and Placement
The Training and Placement department helps MRU graduates get jobs. MRU is accredited by Tata Consultancy Services.[3] MRU graduates have gone on to work in several large corporations, including Accenture, Infosys Technologies, Mahindra Satyam, Larsen & Toubro Infotech, NIIT Technologies, Nokia Siemens and Dell.
ECO College
MRU in 2008 became certified by The Energy and Resources Institute for being an environment conscious institute in NCR region. The members of Renewable Energy Club are actively associated with TERI activities in the fields of energy, environment and sustainable development. The E-cell of MRU in association with National Entrepreneurial Network organizes various Entrepreneurial awareness campaigns and activities and grooms the future entrepreneurs.[4]
Foreign Collaborations
Collaborations has been made with many international Institutes such as Lahti University of Applied Sciences, Algonquin College, University of Central Lancashire and Auckland Institute of Technology[5][6] in terms of sharing expertise on curricula, teaching pedagogy, student projects, research & development, faculty & student exchange, expert lectures, twining programmes etc. These collaborations has been made jointly with other Manav Rachna Educational Institutions.
Extra-Curricular Activities
To encourage student’s participation in Extracurricular Activities, the Institute has constituted four committees, namely Technical, Literary, Sports and Cultural. The student branches of IEEE, SAE and ASME at MRU make the students aware of the upcoming new technicalities in Electronics, Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering. Literary committee brings in “EFFICACY”, a Bi-Annual Magazine that showcases the literary talent of the students apart from conducting various other activities like debate, declamation, and essay writing. In the category of sports, various inter college and Intra College tournaments are arranged by the sports officer. The annual technical cum cultural fest is organized by the student’s committee. MRU and Microsoft Imagine Cup
MRU has been consistently representing the country and winning at Microsoft Imagine Cup.

Team "Path Finders"[7] mentored by Manasvi Sihag and consisting of Nikhil Dalmia, Prashant Gupta, Pritam Singh and Hardik Garg won the Indian Finals in 2013 under both "World Citizenship" and "Innovation" category and represented India at the world finals held at St. Petersburg, Russia with their project "Swasthya Sanjivani".[7] Swasthya Sanjivani is an affordable, approachable, quick and automated on the spot blood and urine testing system with immediate confirmatory results covering diseases such as anemia, diabetes, jaundice and renal damage. For this achievement the team was later honored with Dr. O.P. Bhalla Award of Excellence[8]. - 2014
The team "CodeBlue"[9] represented India at the world finals for Apps for Office Challenge held at Seattle, Washington and won the second prize. The team created an application for Microsoft Word called "Molecule Maker" which helps in creating dynamic 3D structures of molecules once the user has inputted its molecular formula. The team was mentored by Mohit Bahl and consisted of Saurabh Kanwar, Neha Valecha, Ankur Bhalla and Jehi Jha. - 2015
In Microsoft Imagine Cup 2015, teams from Manav Rachna College of Engineering won the first prize in the India finals in both games and innovation category. The games category winning team was team "Aether",[10] composed of Saurabh Kanwar, Nikhil Dalmia, Priya Dugaya and Himanshi Badhana and they created a Windows Phone game called "Tydee" that focused on teaching people garbage segregation and waste management. The innovation category winner was team Eyeluminati who created the project Manovue. Team Eyeluminati went on to represent India in the world finals held at Seattle, Washington.
College Fest
Emblazon is annual cultural and technical festival held each year at MRU. Emblazon was formerly named as Epiphany. It is a national level symposium to exhibit and showcase their talents in Engineering Panorama. It is a tech-arena that tests and validates the technocrat in various engineering discipline. There are 50+ different colleges from North India that participates in the fest.
Radio Manav Rachna
On 10 July 2009 MRU became the first college in NCR to start a community radio station,[11] radio Manav Rachna. It is available at FM 107.8 megahertz in National Capital Region (India). It was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Haryana, Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda.[12][13]
Confusion with Manav Rachna International University
MRU is often mistaken as Manav Rachna International University (MRIU). MRU and MRIU are both part of Manav Rachna Educational Institutions, but MRU is a State University and MRIU is an Deemed University with a separate administration.[14]
