International information

Mangalagiri International Cricket Stadium is a cricket stadium under construction in Mangalagiri of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh. Located at 15 mi (24 km) from Guntur City and 10 mi (16 km) from Vijayawada, it falls under the central zone of Andhra Cricket Association. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy laid the foundation, with construction company IVRCL Limited winning the rights for the project, worth 1097.57 crore (US$160 million).[1]

Former India batsman VVS Laxman inaugurated the Central Zone Academy of Andhra Cricket Association in June 2013.[2] The stadium will include a club house and an indoor cricket academy. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) made Andhra Cricket Association as the headquarters of Indian women's cricket team.
